Our Move From San Francisco Bay Area to Sonoma County, California
More than 15 years ago, my family and I moved from San Francisco to Sonoma, trading in our expensive and hectic Bay area lifestyle for a zip code in Santa Rosa, California. The vineyards and vistas drew us in, but it’s the people and lifestyle that have kept our family firmly rooted in this one-of-a-kind community. Two sons and a thriving real estate business later, I couldn’t feel more at home.

My Experience: The Path To Real Estate
Before becoming a real estate agent, I worked as a loan processor for a mortgage broker in the Bay Area. I got my real estate license in 2004, so I could also broker my own loans. After we moved (2008) from the hustle and bustle of the Bay Area to Sonoma County, and started our family, I worked part-time at a winery and in the marketing world (and yes, working at a winery was as fun as it sounds!). In 2015, I went back to real estate and have been in that world ever since, learning the Sonoma County market inside out. I’m so lucky that my day job is basically getting to explore every inch of this vibrant community and helping others do the same.

Rooted in Community

I believe in giving back to the community that has given me so much. That’s why I’m always finding ways to connect, chairing community events and school fundraisers, sponsoring my younger son’s Little League Team, and more. I’m currently the sponsorship director for Mark West Little League. I’m also a founding member of the Santa Rosa Women for Good, where we come together monthly to support local nonprofits, donating about $39,000 (and counting!) to worthy causes. I am also on the Moms Club committee for my older son’s school, helping to build community among the parents. When you work with me, you’re not just getting a real estate agent; you’re joining a community of caring individuals.

Debbie Pannell

Debbie is a 3rd generation Realtor, born and raised in Santa Rosa, CA. She follows in her parents and grandparents footsteps of consistency, integrity and perseverance. Before obtaining her real estate license, Debbie spent 6 years at a local title and escrow company learning all of the nuts and bolts of the homeownership process from "behind the scenes". With 25 years of experience in an ever changing and challenging real estate environment, Debbie prides herself on staying steady and calm. She offers guidance, wisdom and friendship along the way. Debbie has lived in Sonoma County most of her life and loves everything about it. When she’s not selling real estate and helping her clients, she enjoys road cycling, running, kayaking, traveling in her RV, spending time with her family including two children, and being with friends outdoors enjoying this gorgeous place she calls home.

Sharlyn Elwick

Sharlyn began my career in real estate in 2020 working as a Personal Assistant and Transaction Coordinator. Having worked with Lauren for the past few years, she appreciates the partnership and care that their team brings to each transaction. Her role as TC is to manage the paperwork and keep the team on track to the contractual deadlines. Prior to working in real estate, she worked as Production Manager in live theater for nearly 20 years. Perhaps surprisingly, the roles have a lot in common.

Local to Petaluma, she enjoys spending my off time outdoors. She loves camping, mountain biking, road trips, skiing and most other outdoor adventures. She is grateful to live in a county and state with so much to offer at our fingertips, and they take advantage of it every chance they get.

Suzy Berberian

Suzy is an experienced social media and marketing professional, bringing with her a wealth of expertise gained from her background in event planning, entrepreneurship and real estate. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for client service, Suzy helps Lauren showcase properties in the best possible light and attract prospective buyers with beautiful promotional pieces including brochures, website and social media highlights. Suzy has enjoyed collaborating with Lauren and her team for more than three years now. What stands out most to her is Lauren's dedication to the community and local non-profit endeavors. Their shared passion for connecting with and supporting the people of Sonoma County makes each project incredibly fulfilling. Suzy is raising her family in Petaluma, where she finds joy in exploring the vibrant restaurant scene and discovering new wineries. She also loves nothing more than packing up for a camping trip with her family and dog Taliah in tow.

Meghann Rubino

Meghann is a marketing professional with a focus on delivering high-quality marketing materials for property listings. She supports Lauren by providing property brochures, websites, videos, email campaigns, and social media content ensuring each listing is presented in its best light. Meghann believes that when listing a property, you have one chance to make the best impression possible, so it’s imperative to hit the market with all your marketing materials available for potential buyers. She and Lauren, who have a long friendship (ask about our Santa Barbara days), share a commitment to hard work and clear communication guaranteeing each client receives a positive experience. In her free time, Meghann enjoys cheering on her children at their sporting events, curling up with a good book and exploring new restaurants with family and friends.
